what a stunning day
Not only were the flowers out, but Mt. Ranier was in full view. This photo is from 30,000 feet -- it was a great view from the plane.
his & hers wedding bikes
Leo & Mae rode their "just married" bikes to Volunteer Park. As it turns out, a half a dozen cans tied to the back of a bike can make quite a bit of noise... particularly when there's no engine noise to drown out the can-noise. Hehehe.
the day after the wedding
The day after the wedding, we all met in the park to relax and keep visiting. It was one of those "fool you into moving to Seattle" days. Gorgeous.
next stop: Seattle
This weekend, Leo and Mae got married. Woo-hoo! It was a beautiful ceremony, and they were brave enough to host the reception (with nearly 200 people) at their house. Wow.
Everything was gorgeous. And one of the best parts, of course, was the Mudd-reunion factor. What? Kirby behind the bar? No....

Garrett thinks Adrianna's cake turned out pretty well...
Garrett wanted to eat his cake with a fork (at first). He speared the entire piece, and ate it lollipop-style. Very effective. Not one to leave any crumbs... he finished off with his fingers and finally the plate.

feed me, Seymore!
My dad's latest musical project is playing in the pit-band for Little Shop of Horrors. We had never seen any of my dad's performances before, so this was a real treat. (There was no photography allowed during the performance.)
visiting the Browns
We were happy to spend the day with my brother Derek, his wife Evelyn, and their kids -- Adrianna & Garrett. We went out to lunch, and Adrianna and I entertained ourselves with a long-standing Brown tradition of making napkin-hats. Garrett wasn't feeling too great and ended up passing out.... unless maybe my brother spiked Garrett's drink?

last conference day
To round out his touristing, Tom did the 17-mile drive. Lots of properties for sale... maybe we should consider the 3BR/2BA, 1.5acre place for 14M?
After we left Monterey, we visited Steve & Lynn in Aptos for dinner. They have a new kitty named Izzy. She looks so much like Sable!!
Monterey Bay Aquarium
This was Tom's first trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Pretty cool photos for our lil' ol' point & shoot -- eh?

when eating in Monterey...
... one must clearly find great seafood. We scored big time -- at the Monterey Fish House. It is a very small restaurant (seated maybe 50 people?) and it was delicious. Tom had a crab-cake/scallop combo, I had the cioppino, and someone else in our group had the Monterey Bay prawns. Awesome.
beautiful day in Monterey
I had an opportunity to go to Monterey for a conference this month... and particularly since Tom had never been there before, we went. I was so happy that Tom got to see Monterey on one of those famous Big Blue Sky days. What a treat! The conference was held at the Plaza (posh city!) -- overall, we had a very nice visit. I would have liked to have stayed maybe one day longer -- so that we would have had time to go kayaking. Next time.
